Reporting to the Advisor of Asset Management, the Asset Management Technician will provide support in implementing the new Asset Management Information System (AMIS) within the City.
include, but are not limited to:• Support the development of a centralized Asset Management Information System for the City.• Management and loading of remaining asset data into the City’s asset management tracking software, Public Sector Digests (PSD) – Citywide application.• Manage and maintain confidential information and files related to the asset management program.• Work with City departments and the Leadership Team to facilitate better management of assets.• Facilitate asset inventories and updates to asset inventories. • Audit system information to support departmental and organizational goals.• Assist in the delivery of training to staff, as required, in the performance of asset management and other reviews. • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of operational datasets to support asset management within the City. • Research data anomalies to ensure data integrity within the system.
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary Certificate in Office Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Geography/Planning or related field and a valid Class 5 drivers license. A Local Government Certificate and familiarity with ArcGIS Pro is considered an asset. A Minimum four years of progressively responsible experience in an advanced office environment with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information is required. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills and be extremely detail oriented. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and knowledge or experience with asset management information systems is desired.Hours of Work: 37.5 per week; Monday to Friday
